Now that you have made the smart choice to have your property Powered by INNsight, we want to make sure you are getting the most out of all the tools available within the system.
Everyone loves a bargain. Managing your rates through our Markdown Manager tool allows you to easily offer customized deals to travelers on your website, mobile website and Free Property Profile Page any time you choose.
INNsight offers unique Content Management System (CMS) tools to hoteliers.
You can use your Content Management System (CMS) to specifically highlight details about your property.
After logging into your INNsight PMS, select the Markdown Manager tab.
As with all functions of your PMS system, there are several easy ways to access features .You can access Markdown Manager from your PMS Home page Dashboard, by moving your cursor over the words ‘Check-IN’ found at the top right corner of your PMS Home page and selecting Markdown Manager from the pull down menu, or by selecting the PMS tab in the My Profile section of the PMS Homepage Dashboard beside your logo, then selecting the Markdown Manager tap found above the Search Filters. If you like a more direct route you can simply select the Markdown Manager tab at the bottom of your PMS Homepage Dashboard. Selecting this tab will take you directly to the Markdown Manager tool.
Move your cursor over the words Check-IN, and then select Markdown Manager from the pull down menu:
Or select the PMS tab in you My Profile section of your Home page beside your logo and then selecting the Markdown Manager tab found above Search Filters:
If you would like a more direct route to Markdown Manager, press on the Mark Down Manager button found at the bottom of your PMS Home page:
Markdown Manager is your pricing promotion tool.
The Markdown Manager tab is where you can markdown your rates and offer promotional strike-thru pricing on your room rates.
The Markdown Manager tool allows you to easily set up deals that show strike-thru pricing within Search Results and your Property Profile Page or standalone website Powered by INNsight.
Not only will your prices appear as marked down but the deal itself will be publicized in INNsight's Deals Site and also in your own Deals section within your Property Profile Page and/or website.
Markdown Manager provides several powerful tools to discount your rooms
Markdowns -Strike-Thru Pricing based on dollar ($) amount off, or percentage (%) off discounts for multiple night stay conditions.
Promotion Codes - Distribute Promo Codes that guests can enter on your website (eCommerce only) or Property Profile Page (PPP) to receive a dollar amount off or percentage off discount.
Discounts - Display customized dollar amount off or percentage off discounts to guests.

Markdowns: What you should know
There are two types of deals that can be set up by Markdown Manager:
1). Discount by dollar ($) amount if the reservation is booked by a certain date
2). Discount by percentage (%) off if the reservation is booked by a certain date
In order to create a Deal:
You will need to add a promotional message in the Message field. Deals are promoted per room type. Once all fields are entered, click on green ‘Confirm Deal’ tab to save and queue the deal for immediate exposure.
You will need to enter some information to create a Markdown Deal
1). Enter a Deal Start Date. This is the date when the promotion will go live on the site.
2). Enter Length in Days. This determines how many days the deal will run.
3). Enter Number of Nights. Thisdetermines the minimum number of nights will need to be reserved to take advantage of the special pricing
You will need to enter some information to create a Markdown Deal
Entering a “Book by Date” creates a sense of urgency for the traveler by determining an expiration date for the Deal.
Once all fields are entered, click on the green ‘Confirm Deal’ tab to queue the deal for immediate exposure.
*Please note that as soon as your changes are edited and saved, they will be displayed (live) on your Property Profile Page AND your website that are Powered by INNsight.
Highlight to add a finishing touch, and visual emphasis:
You can Highlight your newly created Deal for additional visual emphasis throughout the site. This powerful little tab can be found in the top right corner of your Markdown page.
Do you want to remove a Deal? With INNsight,you have control.
If you change your mind and want to remove or cancel a Deal, it is easy to do. Simply click on the cancel ‘X’ icon of any deal from the Live Deals list as shown below.
Do you want to drive more traffic to your business? Try Promo Codes.
Promotion Codes or coupon codes are a great way to drive traffic to your business from direct marketing efforts, social media, and return guests. With INNsight, you can create custom Promotion Codes, set the dollar amount or percentage off and set up a valid time period for that promotion code to be eligible.
You can set up an unlimited number of Promotion Codes. This delivers an avenue for an unlimited amount of traffic and additional revenue.
The INNsight platform tracks how many times each Promo Code was utilized giving you insight into the effectiveness of your marketing campaigns that leverage such codes.
Our Promo Codes can be leveraged for Groupon or Living Social deals to help facilitate running such deals. Contact us to learn more about how to make your life easier when running deals on local deals sites.
To remove an active Promo Code, simply click ‘Delete’ and your Promo Code will immediately be deleted.
A website Powered by INNsight delivers maximum exposure for Promo Codes.
Travelers enter their promotion code on either your website Powered by INNsight or your property's Property Profile Page on INNsight.com on Step 2 of the booking flow. Your Reservation Confirmation Email and Fax will reflect the Promo Code utilized.
Everybody Loves Discounts! INNsight lets you show them off
It's true, everyone loves a discount. INNsight Powers you with the flexibility of creating your own discounts. AAA, AARP, Military, Your Kid is on The Honor Roll? Offer a discount today!
With a hotel website Powered by INNsight, you can define and track your own discounts on the fly. Easily set up your own discounts for a dollar about off or a percentage off and define the eligibility requirements.
Click the green ‘Add’ tab and your discount will be displayed to travelers after they have selected a room on your Property Profile Page or website Powered by INNsight.
No Combinations Allowed
Discounts are displayed to travelers after they have selected a room. They will be able to choose only one discount and cannot combine a markdown, promo code, and discount. Once a Discount is selected, they can complete their booking. The Reservation Confirmation Email and Reservation Confirmation Fax will reflect the selected discount.
